About us

Building healthier, stronger, more hopeful and resilient communities.

Inua Life Foundation is a grassroots non-profit committed to uplifting underprivileged communities both in Kenya and the United States. In true spirit of our name “Inua“, which means “to uplift“,  we work with families, youth, women, and children affected by poverty, conflict, natural disasters, and systemic neglect to provide life-changing support in health, education, empowerment, and environment conservation.
Every program we do in Kenya, we also do it in the United States of America.

Terik Cross-Country Run

On 28th December 2025, with support from Inua Life Foundation, the Terik community in Nandi County hosted its first-ever Community Cross-Country Run at Kapkures High School. The event promoted education, sports, inclusion and healthy lifestyles, engaging children aged 4–16 years and adults above 50 years, with participation from over ten neighboring schools.
The top ten student finishers received school supplies, with the top three also awarded blankets. In the adult category, all top ten finishers received blankets. Additionally, all participating schools were supported with essential learning materials such as chalk and pens.
Our key partner, Chepchori Primary School, received a financial contribution to sustain its school feeding program.
We sincerely thank our donors, partners, and the Terik community for making this inaugural event a success and look forward to the 2026 second edition of the Terik Cross-Country Run.

Elgeyo-Marakwet Landslide Support

On the night of October 31, and on November 2nd, 2025 landslide struck Machember and Kibendo Village, Elgeyo-Marakwet County in Kenya, following a period of long intense rainfall. This landslide killed more than 26, with 25 plus missing, and many injured and displaced.
Following the tragedy, our team on the ground worked tirelessly to reach the affected areas, and deliver much needed initial essential items including food, clean water, blankets, clothes, and sanitary items.
We plan to continue our support especially to school children who now have to learn in an extremely difficult environment. Our plan is to collect and provide study material for the next academic year starting January, 2026.
Join us by donating to support this critical mission on our dedicated GoFundMe page below.

My purpose in life is to try to break the chains of poverty afflicting many families especially in rural areas. Having grown up in poverty myself, I understand how one can feel stuck. Year in and year out, I have seen families continue to struggle with no hope in sight. However, I believe it is possible to make a difference and change such lives. It just takes a willing and compassionate heart.
