Driven by Compassion. Committed to Change.

From providing shelter to promoting education and youth empowerment, we’re committed to creating long-term, community-driven solutions that uplift lives and restore hope.

Inua Life Foundation was founded in response to the visible struggles of families facing poverty, health challenges, and educational barriers in underserved communities. It began with small acts—distributing food and mosquito nets to families affected by floods and offering basic school supplies to children who couldn’t afford them.

What started as a local outreach soon grew into a structured movement. Motivated by real-life stories of suffering and resilience, our founders envisioned an organization that could provide long-term solutions to deeply rooted problems—such as gender-based violence, cultural stigmas, and lack of access to healthcare.

Today, Inua Life Foundation reaches communities with practical support, education, advocacy, and hope.

Our Founder & CEO’s Story

I was born in Kesengei, a small rural village in Terik, Nandi County, Kenya. Growing up in the village, I experienced firsthand the struggles of poverty, marginalization, and limited opportunities. I knew what it meant to go to school hungry, what it felt like when you were unseen and unheard. I remember my mother brewing local alcohol so we could afford school fees, and the pain of watching police raid our home, pour out her only source of livelihood, and take her to jail. My brothers and I, desperate, had to catch a chicken, sell it, and use the money to bail her out. I remember drinking water from cups that still smelled of alcohol because they doubled as drinking glasses for customers. Sadly, this reality has not changed for many children in my village today—poverty still traps families in cycles of struggle.

Sports gave me a way out. I joined an athletics training camp after high school and trained very hard, eventually getting a breakthrough. I traveled the world as an athlete, met other world class athletes and experienced more than my village could have offered. This proved that talent and determination can break barriers when given a chance. Today through Inua Life Foundation, we are determined to support and nature talent within my community.

My time in the United States has also opened my eyes. Poverty and injustice are not only African realities—they exist everywhere, even in developed countries. I have met homeless people, low-income families, and elderly individuals who also live in isolation and need support. Just as rural communities in Kenya face marginalization, many rural communities here do too. This reinforced my belief that we cannot wait for someone else to step in—it starts with us.

It is these experiences that planted the seed of Inua Life Foundation—a vision to uplift by breaking cycles of poverty and creating opportunities. We believe that a small act of kindness can transform lives. Empowering a community through education, sports, food and nutrition, healthcare, environmental and cultural protection, is like planting a seed—when nurtured, it grows into a tree that feeds, shelters, and inspires generations.

Inua Life Foundation is about dignity, opportunity, and hope. It is about lifting others, so no child, woman, or elder feels forgotten. Together, we can write a different story for rural communities—one where poverty does not define destiny, but education, empowerment, and compassion do.
